Printing a full bleed watercolor pattern - first, we created a full pattern in watercolor with Winsor and Newton Pro watercolor paint and brushes from @princetonbrush. We also created some stand along flowers to have on hand to fill in if needed and use in other portions of the design. We then scanned all the artwork, cleaned it up in photoshop, and created this final pattern digitally before printing it #watercolor #process #behindthescenes #artwork #springinvitation #watercolorinvitation #winsorandnewton #princetonbrushes #floral A bit more of yesterday’s calligraphy project - I used Zeller ink in soot black (it has a matte finish vs sumi, which has a glossy finish) and a Hunt 101 nib. From far away, it looks like an amazing project, but close up, all the imperfections can be seen - but you know what? I couldn’t care less. My assignment this week was to write a list of names (like 5-10 names - we’re beginning work on capital copperplate letters), so in my typical fashion, I went overboard.
